Strengthening Digital Literacies: resources

On these pages, you will find information and learning resources for each of the various literacy areas, as described in the Framework Digital Literacies. You can use the resources presented here as a starting point to improve your practical skills and your critical knowledge in all areas of digital literacy, as well as for getting started on specific tasks.

• The page “Self-test Digital Literacies” offers instructions on how to use the Discovery Tool of the JISC organization to get a sense a sense of one's strengths and weaknesses in each literacy area.

• The series “Getting started with...” provides quick introductions to various specific tasks around studying and teaching.

• The pages “Information resources” contain a collection of carefully selected links to services, learning materials, courses, and references which can be used for knowledge expansion and skill improvement. They offer a practical overview of the main resources provided by the University of Basel itself in the area of digital skills. It also provides recommendations about further quality internet resources.
